On the opening day of the Tourism Week, with the support of the weather, the vast fields in Tam Coc are wearing a golden color, signaling the arrival of a bumper rice harvest. This is one of the factors that make Ninh Binh tourism unique and extremely loved by tourists.
Mr. Chu Van Nhiu - a local who works as a boatman to ferry the group of photographers said as an announcement, "In Tam Coc, people only plant rice in the winter-spring crop, which is rice in May. In the summer-autumn crop in October, the water level rises and people do not plant rice, so visitors to Ninh Binh who want to see the golden season of Tam Coc can only go during this period of May. This is also the time when the rice fields are most beautiful in the year, so it attracts the most tourists to come here to take photos."
Joining the photo tour on a mountain peak, while waiting for the dragon boat to glide on the Ngo Dong River, Mr. Thanh Dung, a photographer from Quang Ninh province, commented: Photo tourism is itself a tourism product, especially in the era of science and technology explosion, when everyone can take photos with a smartphone.
