The railway has repaired the broken weld of the road-railway separating rail on Long Bien bridge, ensuring safety.
Informing Giao thong Newspaper, Ha Hai Railway Joint Stock Company said that the unit has just welded and repaired the peeling weld on the railing of Long Bien Bridge. The company representative said that taking advantage of the fact that it was not raining this morning (September 12), along with repairing this weld, the unit will check and review other weak points on the bridge to fix them if any, ensuring safety. 
This morning, the Red River water level has receded slowly, the water level measured at 7:00 in Hanoi was 11.20m (0.30m below alert level 3); and the water level on the Duong River in Hanoi was 10.56m (0.44m below alert level 3). However, the unit is still coordinating with functional forces to monitor the water level of the Red River and Duong River to detect and promptly handle risks that threaten the safety of Long Bien Bridge and Duong Bridge. Yesterday (September 11), on social networks, a clip was shared of the road surface next to the railway guardrail on a bridge being cracked and shaking during heavy rain, which is very worrying about safety. The leader of Ha Hai Railway Joint Stock Company, the unit managing and ensuring traffic safety on the bridge, said that this image was caused by the weld of the guardrail of cell 12, span 18 downstream, above the Red River embankment on the Long Bien side. The unit has inspected and discovered it, but due to heavy rain all day, it has not been possible to re-weld it. On the other hand, the location of the broken weld is the railing, not part of the load-bearing structure, so it does not directly threaten traffic. Furthermore, all people and vehicles are currently prohibited from crossing the bridge.
