Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Nguyen Tuan Anh.
At the press conference, answering questions about the revised Electricity Law, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Nguyen Tuan Anh said that the goal of the draft Law is to overcome practical difficulties and promote socio-economic development.
In this revision, the Government also proposed many major contents. The first is electricity planning, a problem under the authority of the National Assembly.
"The National Assembly will study amendments to the Planning Law in this session to see how to address power planning," said Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh.
Second is investment in power projects and works, this is also a big policy but still has problems.
Third is the price of electricity, including the price of household electricity, how to solve practical problems and concerns.
"The Government's proposal to approve a session is also a matter of great concern. However, after discussing with agencies and considering the urgency of the matter, I think it is possible to approve a session," said Mr. Tuan Anh.
To do this, the review agency has suggested that the Government focus only on major policies. Some other unresolved issues, which are not urgent, can be presented later in the form of a resolution for the National Assembly Standing Committee to resolve.
"During the discussion, the drafting and reviewing agencies made great efforts to fully absorb the opinions of delegates and agencies," said Mr. Tuan Anh.
Ms. Pham Thuy Chinh, Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee.
Will consider family deduction in Personal Income Tax Law
Regarding the family deduction level in the Personal Income Tax Law, Ms. Pham Thuy Chinh, Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee, said that in Plan No. 81 of the National Assembly Standing Committee to implement Conclusion No. 19 of the Politburo on the orientation of the law-making program for the 15th National Assembly, the Personal Income Tax Law has been included in the review and proposed amendments and supplements.
According to Ms. Chinh, voters' and public opinions are related to many policies in the current Law. In particular, to achieve the goal of regulating income between low-income and high-income earners to help the Personal Income Tax Law, the Government is currently in the review phase. According to the plan, during the term of the 15th National Assembly, this Law will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration.
"However, up to this point, the Government has not submitted it. In the process of performing its functions and duties, the Finance and Budget Committee will receive opinions from voters to carefully consider the calculation of family deductions and other policies," said Ms. Chinh.
