On the evening of June 28, information and images were shared on social networks about a candidate at the 2023 high school graduation exam site of Chu Van An High School (Tay Ho District, Hanoi) who fainted on the bus and was unable to reach the exam site in time and was not allowed to take the math exam.
Information about the male student was shared on social networks.
"On the afternoon of June 28, at the Chu Van An High School exam site, candidate Nguyen Anh Duc was taken by a motorbike taxi at 3:00 p.m., 30 minutes late for the math exam. Seeing that the gate was closed and he could not enter, the male student was confused, burst into tears, and fainted. According to Thuy Be's account (the person who took Duc to the medical station), during the math exam this afternoon, Duc was not able to enter the exam on time due to health reasons (fasting, fainting), the content of the post shared.
The article added that Duc's house is in Gia Lam District (Hanoi). To get to the exam site at Chu Van An High School, he had to take two buses. According to the exam regulations, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late after the test start time, you will not be allowed to take the exam that day. This means that you will have to retake the exam next year. It is known that his father has a mental illness and his mother has passed away.
This content, after being shared on social networks, caused a "storm" of public opinion. Everyone sympathized with the candidate's situation and thought that the leading educational agency should give him a chance to retake the exam.
Male student Nguyen Anh Duc
That same evening, speaking with Thanh Nien , Nguyen Anh Duc confirmed that in the afternoon of the same day, due to arriving late, he was not allowed to take the math exam for the 2023 high school graduation exam.
"I was late today because I fell asleep at home at noon. I don't know why I set an alarm but it didn't go off when it was time to leave. When I woke up, I was shocked and panicked. I don't remember what time it was. I only remember that when I arrived at the exam site gate, it was 2:40 p.m., past the time to enter the exam room," said Nguyen Anh Duc.

According to Anh Duc, the information shared on social networks is inaccurate in many places. "My father is mentally ill, but I have not lost my mother. She is still living in the countryside," Duc said.
The male student added that after the information was shared on social networks, many people texted to ask and share, but the truth was not as people saw online.
"This is my fault, I take responsibility and accept to retake the exam next year," Anh Duc emphasized, and said that after not being able to enter the exam room, he was shocked, and because he was so worried about his mental health and well-being, he was taken to a medical station near the exam site by volunteers and local people.
