(Dan Tri) - On the morning of February 20, the Organizing Committee of the "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces" Award 2024 announced a list of 19 outstanding nominees who entered the final round of online voting.
Notably, in the list of 19 excellent nominees who made it to the final round of online voting, singer Nguyen Huynh Son (Soobin Hoang Son, born in 1992) and Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy (born in 2002) were both nominated in the field of Culture - Arts for their outstanding achievements in 2024.
Last year, the Organizing Committee of the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award received 159 nominations from 55 units nationwide, of which 3 were self-nominated.
In terms of structure, there are 114 men, 45 women; 15 nominations are ethnic minorities 15. In terms of academic titles, there are 3 Associate Professors, 21 Doctors and 4 Masters. The oldest nominee is 38 years old, the youngest is 13 years old. The field of Study has the most nominations with 38 profiles. The field of State Administrative Management continues to have the fewest nominations with only 1 profile.

On February 11, the Award Council held its first meeting and based on the records, appraisal, analysis and evaluation, found 26 outstanding nominees in 9 fields. From there, the Council continued to vote, selecting 19 nominees to conduct the online voting round.
Taking place from now until March 6, the online voting round will contribute significantly to the basis for the Award Council to hold its second meeting to find 10 nominees for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2024 and Promising Young Vietnamese Faces of 2024.

Field of study: Than The Cong (born in 2006), Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Hoang Xuan Bach (born in 2007), High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences (University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi); Nguyen Huu Tien Hung (born in 2006), Bac Ninh High School for Gifted Students.
Field of Scientific Research: Dr. Pham Huy Hieu (born in 1992), VinUni University; Dr. Nguyen Viet Huong (born in 1990), Phenikaa University; Dr. Le Kim Hung (born in 1990), University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University).
Production Labor Field: Hoang Khac Hieu (born in 2006), Military Industry - Telecommunications Group.
Business - Startup: Phung Thi Ngan (born in 1992), General Director of Bigfa Joint Stock Company.
Defense sector: Captain Ngo Duc Anh (born in 1993), Region 3, Navy; Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang (born in 1995), Division 372, Air Defense - Air Force.
Security and order sector: Tran Vinh Chien (born in 1994), Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police; Nguyen Cao Cuong (born in 1989), Deputy Head of Cam Duong Commune Police (Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province).
Sports: Nguyen Tien Linh (born in 1997), player of Becamex Binh Duong Football Club); Trinh Thu Vinh (born in 2000), People's Police Shooting Team.
Culture and Arts: singer Phuong My Chi (born in 2003), Swinburne University; singer Nguyen Huynh Son (Soobin Hoang Son, born in 1992); Miss Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy (born in 2002).

The ceremony to honor the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces of 2024 is expected to take place in March 2025 in Hanoi.
The "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces" Award is a noble award of the Central Youth Union to honor young people under 35 years old with outstanding achievements in various fields. Every year, the Award is presented on the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26.
Over the past 28 years, the Award has honored 280 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces and 277 Promising Young Vietnamese Faces. After being honored, the Outstanding and Promising Young Faces have continued to strive, contribute, mature, and make many more positive contributions to their units, communities, and the country.
