Prestigious awards over the past 20 years
20 years ago, the Devotion Music Award was born at the representative office of the Sports and Culture newspaper in Ho Chi Minh City, carrying with it a great aspiration: Using the voice of public opinion to encourage and honor the positive values of popular music in the year and thereby partly influencing and reorienting this field with an extremely diverse market.

Since 2023, the Award has been expanded in scale, becoming a new "ecosystem" of Dedication with the Dedication Music Award and the Dedication Sports Award; at the same time, the voting method has also changed with active participation from the public, so that Dedication is increasingly closer to the music market while still maintaining its core values. Meanwhile, the Dedication Sports Award has honored the most outstanding and impressive achievements and sports figures.
Speaking at the award ceremony, journalist Le Xuan Thanh, Head of the Dedication Award Organizing Committee, said that the nominated individuals and organizations are all outstanding and highly representative of each field.
According to Mr. Thanh, those faces were not selected by the Organizing Committee, but were the result of a systematic voting process, combining the professional assessment of the Voting Council, with the converted scores from the public's widespread voting on the Bvote system and from the impartial and objective votes of music journalists nationwide.
“This combination has created the formula for victory in the digital age. A formula that we have spent 20 years building and developing the Dedication Award to perfect,” said Mr. Thanh.

Sharing with reporters of VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, People's Artist Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) affirmed that the prestige and quality of the Dedication Award are increasingly affirmed and are attracting the attention of artists.
“In an era of booming cultural, artistic and entertainment programs, maintaining an award like this is essential. It is a source of encouragement, motivation and recognition for the contributions of those working in the arts,” People’s Artist Xuan Bac shared.
Sharing the same view, musician Duong Thu said that it is not easy for an award organized by a newspaper to exist for 20 years.
“I think the Award has been able to exist and maintain its prestige to this day because the Organizing Committee has done the right thing. The categories are not judged by us or by experts, but by the audience and the press. The audience is the most impartial and the journalists are the ones who follow the music industry very closely. Therefore, this evaluation is accurate, creating prestige and quality for the award,” musician Duong Thu commented.

To close this year’s season, the Organizing Committee auctioned a Dedication Cup - a special edition commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Award. Crafted in the shape of a nightingale, approximately 40cm in height, this Dedication Cup is special because it is not specifically associated with any award category but symbolizes the sustainability of the Dedication Award and the eternal beauty of art. A fan of Soobin successfully bid for 700 million VND.
All proceeds will be contributed to the charity program "For schools for children" to build and repair classrooms for children in remote areas of The Thao and Van Hoa newspaper./.
