A press release from Sony highlights how Audeze's headphones use patented technologies and unique planar magnetic technology drivers to deliver a superior audio experience for consumers and recording professionals.
Sony also specifically mentioned planar magnetic drivers when it shared some details about new PlayStation audio products, including the Pulse Explore earbuds and Pulse Elite headphones, so it's possible the company's deal with Audeze has been in the works for a while.
Both headsets will also take advantage of new technology called PlayStation Link, which will deliver low latency and lossless audio when used with the PlayStation 5 and the upcoming PlayStation Portal handheld game streaming device.
