In the content of Long-term resistance , the photos help the public see the determination of the army and people of the capital "Determination to die for the survival of the Fatherland", turning the streets into battlefields, trapping the enemy in the heart of the city, creating conditions for the whole country to prepare to enter a long-term resistance.
The content of the Historical Return Day reflects the historic moment when the Geneva Agreement was signed. The people of Hanoi steadfastly and persistently fought against all sabotage plots, protecting the city intact before the victorious army advanced.
At the opening ceremony on October 4, delegates and the public also experienced the exhibition gate area that evoked the image of the waves of the Red River surging strongly; the image of female resistance students from Trung Vuong High School for Girls (Hanoi) participating in the parade; the image of a death row inmate sawing the iron bars of the underground sewer of Hoa Lo Prison to organize a prison break on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1951.
In particular, the public also had the opportunity to meet historical witnesses who were former students of the Hanoi resistance war from 1947 to 1954; former political prisoners of Hoa Lo Prison, Phu Quoc Prison Camp and witnesses who participated in the takeover of the capital in October 1954.
