Quickly complete the dossier to bring Dan Phuong to the finish line of advanced new rural district

Achieved 9/9 advanced new rural criteria

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development has been identified by Dan Phuong district as a key task and a step in line with the local situation. Based on the directions of the Central Government and the Hanoi Party Committee - People's Committee, the district has issued dozens of resolutions to organize implementation from the district to the grassroots level.

Along with the support of the Central Government and Hanoi City, Dan Phuong district has promoted information, propaganda, and mobilized diverse resources to serve the NTM target. Statistics from 2010 to present show that the total mobilized capital has reached nearly 7,586 billion VND. Notably, the mobilized capital from outside the budget and socialization has reached more than 1,191 billion VND.

With the efforts of the entire political system and the support of all classes of people, in 2015, Dan Phuong was recognized by the Prime Minister as a "District meeting new rural standards", one of the first districts in Hanoi to achieve this goal. Through review, the district also met the criteria for an advanced new rural district in the period of 2021 - 2025 according to Decision No. 320/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

But not stopping there, the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Dan Phuong district continue to direct the communes to focus on investing and synchronously upgrading the criteria. Up to now, 15/15 communes in the district have reached the model NTM finish line, being one of two districts in Hanoi with 100% of communes meeting the model NTM standards (along with Thanh Tri district).

According to the Head of the Economic Department of Dan Phuong District, Nguyen Viet Dat, the district has recently assessed 9 criteria according to the National Criteria for Advanced New Rural Districts for the period 2021 - 2025. Accordingly, Dan Phuong has met 9/9 criteria, qualified to submit to the competent authority for recognition as a "District meeting advanced new rural standards", according to the provisions of Decision No. 3099/QD-UBND of the Hanoi People's Committee and Decision No. 320/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.

Focus on reviewing and completing documents

In 2024, Hanoi strives to bring at least 4 districts to the advanced NTM finish line. This is an extremely important task, a necessary condition for Hanoi to achieve the goal of "The city completing the task of building new rural areas".

On July 2, the Hanoi New Rural Area Inspection Team conducted a site inspection and worked with the People's Committee of Dan Phuong District to evaluate the results of building Dan Phuong District to meet advanced New Rural Area standards. The members of the team highly appreciated the results of building advanced New Rural Areas of the district. However, the content of the report has many points that need to be adjusted and supplemented.

To ensure the progress of completing the advanced NTM district, Deputy Chief of Office in charge of the Hanoi New Rural Area Coordination Office Ngo Van Ngon requested the District People's Committee to accept all comments from the delegation members; direct departments and offices to actively participate in reviewing and completing the dossier according to the comments of representatives of the city's departments and branches.

Mr. Ngon hopes that the district will continue to pay attention and direct the improvement of the new rural criteria, do a good job of improving village roads and alleys, and clean up the environment. At the same time, promote information and propaganda about the goals and results of building advanced new rural areas in the district, especially through visual forms.

The representative of the Hanoi New Rural Area Coordination Office also requested the city's departments and branches to work closely with Dan Phuong district in the spirit of considering this a common task; striving so that from now until October 2024, the city will be qualified to submit to the Central Government for consideration and recognition of the completion of the task of building new rural areas.

 

As of June 2024, the average income per capita in Dan Phuong district has reached 78 million VND/person/year (an increase of 62.3 million VND compared to 2010). There are no more poor households in the district. The district continues to maintain 100% of communes meeting national health standards. 54/58 schools meet national standards, of which 39 schools meet national standards level 2. 100% of people in the district have access to clean water, of which 70% of households have access to centralized clean water sources.
