As a key project to improve the appearance of Phu Ly urban area, Ha Nam and improve the quality of life for people in the North, Sun Urban City is being built by the investor Sun Group and contractors with all their efforts to complete on schedule. Nearly 2,000 workers and many machines are working non-stop in 3 shifts every day from morning to night. Some items are even being constructed overnight.

After only nearly 3 months since the groundbreaking, the Art Residence high-rise apartment buildings have completed 30% of the construction volume. In particular, building A1 is constructing the 6th floor beams and is expected to be the first to “reach the finish line”, topping out on December 31.

"We eat and sleep right near the construction site to conveniently work 3 overtime shifts and focus on construction to keep up with the schedule," Mr. Vu Van Uy, a member of the construction team of the A1 high-rise apartment building of the Sun Urban City Ha Nam project, quickly shared during his break, before continuing with more than 800 workers of the Coteccons contractor to construct 8 high-rise buildings of the project.

Art Residence has a breakthrough architecture with each apartment having a ceiling height of up to nearly 5m, helping homeowners optimize the use of space. However, this also poses a significant challenge for the construction process. Not only is the technique more complicated, but the construction time is also longer than other projects.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Sinh, Chief of the Coteccons contractor at the high-rise apartment complex, affirmed: "The entire construction site is working hard to work 8 hours a day and 6 hours a night, with some items working overnight, to bring the project to completion on schedule."

In parallel with building A1, construction of building A2 has completed the 4th floor beams and is expected to be topped out in early 2025. Meanwhile, the remaining 6 high-rise buildings have completely closed their basements and are on track to be topped out by March 30 next year.

Near the high-rise apartment complex is the Kim Tien low-rise subdivision along the 1.5km long, 150m wide festival boulevard axis - the largest in Vietnam. Reality at the construction site shows that the entire row of villas and townhouses along this boulevard axis has completed infrastructure and is under construction of the basement structure. Most notably, 100 villas along the boulevard axis have been constructed to the 2nd floor, close to the target of completion in the first quarter of next year.

Mr. Le Van Hai, Commander of the low-rise subdivision of the Sun Urban City Ha Nam project, said: “The low-rise subdivision of the Sun Urban City Ha Nam project is very different. The villas and townhouses have unique architecture with 469 house models, not repeated vertically. In addition, all the houses have their own basements, increasing construction costs by about 20-30% compared to construction without a basement. The project requires large resources from the investor and all contractors.”

Housing, infrastructure, landscape and utility items are deployed at the same time to help customers operate the project immediately upon receiving the house. This demonstrates the efforts of the investor and nearly 2,000 workers.

From above, the festival park with a 150m wide avenue has clearly appeared, estimated to have completed 85% of the work. The entire festival axis and water music show are expected to be completed by the end of 2024, ready to operate to serve the programs welcoming the New Year of the Snake 2025.

Also located in the Sun Urban City metropolis, Sun World Water Park is a project that Ha Nam residents are looking forward to. Mr. Tran Thanh Tung, Water Park Construction Manager, said that the first two complex games of the park have been installed. The wave pool and lazy river are completing their structures. It is estimated that the construction of the water park has reached more than 40% of the volume and is closely following the progress to be able to launch on April 30, 2025.

The key traffic routes connecting Sun Urban City with Hanoi and the northern provinces are also being rapidly deployed. The Phu Thu 3-level intersection (pictured) on the Phap Van - Cau Gie - Ninh Binh highway is racing to complete in 2025. Meanwhile, the 68m wide Dien Bien Phu street connecting from the Phu Thu intersection directly to the project will be completed by the end of 2024.

The milestones of the first Sun Group mega-project in Ha Nam are on track to reach the finish line. Future residents and many investors are eagerly awaiting the Sun Urban City Resort to be completed and put into operation soon, bringing new vitality to the land of Doi Mountain and Chau River.
