Soc Trang: Awarding more than 390 scholarships to studious students

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Soc Trang Provincial Association for Promotion of Education has just held a ceremony to award Luong Dinh Cua scholarships to outstanding studious students of the province.

Accordingly, the Soc Trang Province Association for the Promotion of Education awarded 391 scholarships to outstanding studious students of the province, with a total amount of over 1.23 billion VND. Of these, 336 scholarships were for students studying at universities; 50 scholarships were for students who passed the university entrance exam with the highest total score in 3 subjects in the province and 5 scholarships were for the group of authors who won the First Prize of the Provincial “Creative Youth and Children” Contest.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province, emphasized: The scholarship will be a source of encouragement, promoting the spirit of studiousness, creating motivation for exemplary studious students with difficult circumstances to continue studying well and have a bright future.

Soc Trang provincial leaders hope that the students receiving scholarships will continue to study well, gain knowledge, cultivate and practice morality to become intellectuals in the future, contributing to building their homeland Soc Trang to become more prosperous and happy.

In 2024, the provincial Association at all levels awarded 49,521 scholarships of all kinds, with a total amount of over 47.5 billion VND. In addition, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education also mobilized sponsors to support the construction and award of 28 Encouragement of Education houses to outstanding students who have overcome difficulties in studying and have difficulty in housing, each house worth 70 million VND.
