Soc Trang provincial leaders requested departments and branches to closely carry out the task of removing obstacles, in order to promote infrastructure completion and attract investment in industrial clusters.
In Soc Trang province, 5 industrial clusters have been established, with an area of 202.5 hectares, including industrial clusters: Nga Nam, Xay Da B, An Lac Thon 1, An Lac Thon 2, and the new Xay Da B.
Up to now, there are 2 industrial clusters with secondary investment projects: Nga Nam cluster and An Lac Thon 1 cluster; Xay Da B cluster has completed construction of technical infrastructure; and is completing procedures for site clearance for the new Xay Da B cluster.

However, in the process of implementing industrial clusters, many difficulties and problems related to land procedures; land recovery at investment projects that have stopped operating; environmental licenses; site clearance; land use plans, etc.
At the meeting to remove difficulties for the development of industrial parks and clusters that recently took place, the leaders of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province requested that units propose solutions and directions to resolve difficulties in each industrial park and cluster in the coming time.
At the same time, the Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to continue to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to thoroughly resolve difficulties and backlogs at Nga Nam Industrial Cluster, An Lac Thon 1 Cluster and other clusters to call for and attract businesses to invest, creating favorable conditions for local development.
Investment in the development of industrial zones and clusters is very important, helping the province grow economically, increase local budget revenue, create jobs, promote urban development... Therefore, leaders of units need to uphold their sense of responsibility, to effectively and sustainably implement the construction and development of industrial zones and clusters in the direction of green economic development, harmoniously combining the three economic - social - environmental factors.
Previously, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on the inauguration of the project to invest in and operate the infrastructure of the Xay Da B Industrial Cluster, the leaders of the Soc Trang Department of Industry and Trade chaired a field survey and worked with DinTsun Vietnam Co., Ltd. - the investor of the Xay Da B Industrial Cluster project.
In fact, the investor has actively accelerated the progress of completing the construction items (expected to be put into operation in March). Currently, the remaining items are being actively completed such as organizing land clearing, clearing grass, planting trees, cleaning the entire area in the cluster and the road leading to the cluster to ensure cleanliness and spaciousness, installing road signs, direction boards, and warning signs to soon inaugurate and put the industrial cluster into operation.
