The reason is that the mechanisms and policies to encourage and support businesses to participate in the agricultural and rural sector are not strong enough. The way to mobilize, call for, and create conditions for businesses is not really good, so it is still not attractive and appealing for businesses to invest in agriculture.

Business representative, Mr. Le Van Quang - General Director of Minh Phu Seafood Corporation, shared that the cost of producing shrimp in Vietnam is still very high compared to other strong shrimp exporting countries. However, Vietnam has strengths in ecological shrimp production.
The Group is looking forward to working closely with farmers to enrich themselves with two models: fragrant rice and clean shrimp and mangrove-carbon zero shrimp. For this model to develop and be sustainable, it is necessary to link many households together to cooperate to form cooperatives, creating a rice-shrimp farming area of 7-10 hectares.
“World shrimp buyers have required traceability and organic and ecological certification. Such a connection is enough to certify, increase productivity, ensure consistent quality, and reduce costs and production costs,” said Mr. Quang.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien highly appreciated the association for its more than 10 years of operation, which has carried out many meaningful activities to support agricultural enterprises and farmers. Among them, there is a forum between enterprises and farmers held annually to share information, experience and enhance cooperation between the parties.
With the active participation of enterprises, together with the efforts and hard work of farmers, effective solutions will be found to promote sustainable and effective agricultural development. From there, not only meeting domestic demand but also expanding and reaching out to the international market.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, together with ministries, branches and localities, are effectively implementing support policies for people, cooperatives, associations and businesses.
To promote the connection between enterprises and farmers, the Ministry has proposed policies and measures to encourage and support organizations and individuals who are members of the agricultural and rural development. At the same time, it supports digital transformation and training for small and medium enterprises in the fields of production, processing, and trade of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products.
