In 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade promptly implemented key, breakthrough programs and assigned main tasks. Production, business and trade activities grew quite high compared to the same period last year; the added value of the industry is estimated at 6,697 billion VND, up 14.09%, (contributing 3.23% of the province's GRDP); total retail sales of goods increased by 14.8%, with 18/22 products having growth compared to the same period last year, of which 8 products had high growth. Domestic trade continued to grow steadily. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at 43,700 billion VND, up 14.8% compared to 2023. Trade infrastructure developed, contributing to the growth of goods revenue. Coordination in implementing trade promotion activities has been promoted in many forms, creating a favorable environment for developing OCOP products and typical products of the province.
In 2025, the industry targets an increase in industrial added value of 23-24%; growth rate of total retail sales of goods and service revenue of 12-13%; export turnover in the area strives to reach 130 million USD; import turnover reaches 120 million USD...

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Industry and Trade sector in the past time. At the same time, he emphasized that 2025 is of special importance, a year of acceleration and breakthrough to strive to complete the goals and targets of the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025. Therefore, the Industry and Trade sector needs to have high determination and solutions to implement and achieve the highest results in order to contribute to the overall growth of the province. The sector needs to review the targets and tasks that have not been achieved to continue implementing. Have resolutions, plans, action programs and specific solutions to complete the key tasks in 2025. Promote administrative reform, strengthen coordination with departments and branches; proactively reorganize and streamline the apparatus, receive the Market Management Department, promote the sense of responsibility, discipline, administrative discipline, ensure the quality and progress of the assigned work. Focus on promoting the development of key industrial groups such as electricity production and distribution. Review and overcome existing limitations in the implementation of the VII Power Plan, draw lessons and experience to effectively implement the VIII Power Plan; support and remove difficulties so that energy projects can start construction on schedule. Regarding the processing and manufacturing industry, it is necessary to organize and grasp the production and business situation, promptly propose solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, promote growth, and create conditions for businesses to develop. Urge investors to speed up procedures to meet the conditions to start construction of infrastructure for industrial clusters. Strengthen connectivity, boost exports, promote trade, and expand the market for goods consumption. Synchronously deploy measures to stabilize prices, control and develop the market, ensure the circulation of goods, balance supply and demand, and stabilize prices during the Lunar New Year 2025, especially essential goods, to meet people's consumption needs.
