This morning (September 23), TC Motor officially launched the Skoda car brand in Vietnam and introduced Kodiaq and Karoq, two popular SUV models imported completely from Europe. This is an important milestone, opening a new journey for the Skoda brand in the Vietnamese market.
With nearly 130 years of establishment and development, Skoda is one of the oldest automobile brands in the world, with many achievements and prestigious awards in design, operation and safety. Skoda is currently one of the brands owned by the Volkswagen Group, one of the largest automobile groups in the world.
In 2022, TC Motor and Skoda signed a cooperation agreement on technology transfer and exclusive distribution of Skoda passenger cars, marking an important milestone in officially entering the Vietnamese market. With the philosophy of always being a reliable companion to explore the world, Skoda will certainly bring many new and better things to customers.
Skoda Karoq - young and dynamic
Skoda Karoq is the pioneer product in the new generation of SUVs of Skoda brought to the Vietnamese market. The car model is highly appreciated for its durability and powerful performance along with luxury and high-class safety.

[/caption]The design of the car is inspired by Bohemian glass art. The crystal cut of the Full-LED Matrix headlights and eight light strips like 'eyelashes' create a unique lighting pattern. The new design makes the Karoq powerful, full of confidence to explore the journey ahead. In addition, the Full-LED Matrix headlights with advanced technology automatically adjust the light direction and intensity for easy observation and increased safety when traveling.
The front of the car with aerodynamic air intakes, hexagonal grille and front bumper with crystal black plastic cladding help the car bring a sporty, strong appearance. The body of the car with highlights such as 18-inch sports wheels, embossed ribs, combined with roof racks and rear spoiler helps the car achieve a drag coefficient of 0.3Cd. The rear of the car is a Full-Led light system with large Skoda brand letters, creating a highlight for the Karoq.
The vehicle's length is 4,390 mm, height is 1,603 mm and width is 1,841 mm. Ground clearance is 164 mm, wheelbase is 2,630 mm with front departure angle of 18.3 degrees, rear departure angle of 19.4 degrees, making the vehicle flexible when running on different terrains.
The interior space is inspiring, creating comfort at first sight and touch, harmoniously designed with a dynamic appearance, along with many smart utilities and modern technologies. The Virtual Cockpit digital screen and 8-inch entertainment screen system, 8 high-end speakers combined with the Ambitient Lighting LED system bring many emotions to the driver and passengers. The panoramic sunroof combined with sunshades helps the interior to be more luxurious and special on the journey of discovery.
The Climatronic automatic air conditioning system offers dual-zone air conditioning, which can automatically set two thermal comfort zones in the interior: driver's zone and front passenger zone. The temperature range available in each zone is 16 - 29.5 °C. The second row of seats has air conditioning vents. The Air Care system automatically switches to air recirculation mode, filtering the air as soon as the sensors detect pollution in the air outside and inside the car.
The seat system is ergonomically designed, covered with high-quality leather, integrated with 8-way electric adjustment, 3-position seat memory. The luggage compartment volume can be customized from 521 liters to 1,630 liters (when folding the 2nd row of seats), helping the driver and passengers have comfortable journeys.
Skoda Karoq is equipped with a 1.4 TSI Turbo engine, maximum capacity of 150 horsepower, maximum torque of 250 Nm in the range of 1,500 - 3,500 rpm. The car takes 9.2 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h and reaches a maximum speed of up to 201 km/h. The engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission to help the car move smoothly and save fuel. In addition, Karoq is also equipped with a system of 4 different driving modes and paddle shifters on the steering wheel, meeting the maximum needs of the driver.
The car is equipped with many advanced safety features such as 7 airbags, front and rear sensors, adaptive headlights, blind spot and rear collision warning, tire pressure sensor, driver distraction warning, etc.
Skoda Karoq is currently introduced in Vietnam with 2 versions: Ambition and Style with 9 color options.
Skoda Kodiaq - luxury and personality
Kodiaq is a 7-seat large SUV, the pride of Skoda, carrying all the qualities that Skoda wants to bring to customers. Taking its name from the sturdiness of the largest surviving Kodiak brown bear, Skoda Kodiaq has somewhat shown its strength right from its name.
All the design lines of the Skoda Kodiaq are sharp, decisive and neat. With a three-dimensional radiator grille and a pair of Full-LED Matrix headlights with a striking crystal structure, the lines along the body combined with the taillights with the characteristic C-shaped design of Skoda, the Kodiaq is like an invitation to explore new roads.
The vehicle's length is 4,697mm, height is 1,681mm and width is 1,882mm. Ground clearance is 192mm, wheelbase is 2,791mm with a front departure angle of 19 degrees and a rear departure angle of 15.1 degrees. In addition, Kodiaq is equipped with 19-inch wheels with a sporty, powerful design.
The interior space of the car offers luxury, comfort and is truly a large SUV. With a volume of 720 liters to 2,065 liters (when folding the 2 rear seats). The front seats are electrically controlled in 8 directions with a 3-position memory function. The car is equipped with a 3-zone independent air conditioning system, giving customers a comfortable interior space that is the best in the segment. The features with the philosophy of "Simple but smart" are also proof that the Skoda Kodiaq is a practical and convenient car for everyday life and every family trip.

The entertainment system connects to 8 high-end speakers around the car, providing a truly quality experience.
Kodiaq is equipped with a 2.0 TSI Turbo engine with a maximum capacity of 180 horsepower, maximum torque of 320 Nm in the range of 1,400 - 3,940 rpm. The car takes 8.2 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/h before reaching a maximum speed of 207 km/h. This engine version comes with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission, integrated with a steering wheel shift function, and a 4x4 drive system with multiple operating modes to help the car confidently conquer all terrains.
In addition, Kodiaq also has a 1.4 TSI Turbo engine version, maximum capacity of 150 horsepower, maximum torque of 250 Nm in the range of 1,500 - 3,500 rpm. This engine comes with a 6-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Kodiaq is also equipped with many advanced safety and driver support systems: a panoramic camera system that monitors the surrounding area of the vehicle with multiple display modes, downhill assist, a 7-airbag system with a passenger side off function when there are no passengers, and advanced safety equipment similar to the Karoq model.
Kodiaq is also introduced in Vietnam with 2 versions Ambition and Style with 9 color options.
