Students participate in interviews at HUTECH IT Open Day 2024

Representatives of HUTECH and participating businesses performed the opening ceremony of the festival.

Taking place on March 29, the event was organized by the Faculty of Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) in collaboration with businesses and organizations, providing a space for students of the University and universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring areas to meet employers and apply for suitable job positions.

Most of the potential candidates who came to apply and interview were students about to graduate from Information Technology, Information Security, Data Science, Management Information Systems, etc.

At the festival, students had the opportunity to meet directly with business representatives at booths, access recruitment information in various positions such as Programming Engineer, Service Solution Consultant, Software Testing Specialist, Telecommunications Engineer, etc.

Many potential young candidates confidently come to interview directly with the employer.

With on-site interviews, students experience the processes of a real job interview, gain experience through feedback from business representatives to enrich their career, and be ready to enter the labor market. Many students with outstanding achievements have caught the attention of employers and found attractive jobs right at the fair.

Attending this year's event, Mr. Le Phuoc Cuong - Deputy Head of FPT IS Recruitment and Talent Attraction Department - said that the company is in need of recruiting hundreds of students in many positions such as Programming, Testing, PM Deployment, System Administration, Network, Security and some positions related to new technologies such as AI.

'I am very impressed with the large scale of HUTECH IT Open Day 2024 with many participating businesses. The festival atmosphere is also extremely exciting with many interesting experiential activities for students. I personally think that the students are very dynamic, have solid foundational knowledge and are able to adapt quickly to new jobs and technologies,' said Mr. Cuong.

Nguyen Hoang Dan, a fourth-year student majoring in Information Technology at the school, shared that he wanted to apply for the position of network engineer at VNPT HCM Company. Dan had prepared a complete application and some certificates he had accumulated over the past time.

'I feel that the event is becoming more and more professionally invested and beautiful. This is a very attractive festival because it attracts many large companies to come here to support and create opportunities for us students to find internships and jobs to prepare for the future,' said Hoang Dan.

In parallel with direct interviews at the booth, students participating in HUTECH IT Open Day 2024 also have the opportunity to experience beautiful PCs and the latest mobile devices at the exhibition space of modern information technology products and solutions from businesses.

Exciting academic activities at the festival

In particular, academic exchange activities were held for the first time at the festival such as the Drone control competition and Esport competition with dramatic competitions. This is the ideal meeting place for students to improve their knowledge and skills in high technology.

Many scholarships with a total value of more than 200 million VND were awarded to students.

Within the framework of the event, the school signed cooperation agreements with 12 business units, continuing the University - Business model that the school has pioneered and affirmed its value in providing high-quality human resources in recent times.

Along with that, dozens of course and cash scholarships with a total value of more than 200 million VND were also awarded by businesses and schools to students, creating great motivation for them to continue to improve their expertise and skills, ready to become excellent human resources, contributing positive values ​​to society.
