On the morning of December 4, 50 first-year public relations students from the creative communication department of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (HCMC) came to Tuoi Tre newspaper to learn about the process and methods of organizing events.
Associate Professor Dr. Vu Quang Hao - Head of the Creative Communication Department of Nguyen Tat Thanh University - said that this activity is part of the "Press Tour" series of visits, study, and practical experience at media agencies organized by the department, designed by the department for 700 new students majoring in multimedia communication and public relations.
Accordingly, students are "immersed" in reality from the first days in university lecture halls, and can visit major central and local editorial offices and media agencies such as VTV, HTV, VOH, Thanh Nien newspaper, Tuoi Tre newspaper, Binh Duong Radio and Television Station, Dong Nai newspaper...
"This is an introductory activity, to familiarize students with the profession and to find new feelings about the profession. The main goal is to give students the opportunity to be exposed to their future workplace, so that they are inspired to study better at school.
Today's students are also the Gen Z public. They not only come to visit and study, but also share so that the media knows what the young public needs and what they can contribute" - Mr. Hao added.
As both a student and a member of the public, Nguyen Pham Nam Phong believes that the study session helps him broaden his perspective on communications, event organization, and learn from those who have gone before him to serve his future work. Phong said that he had researched the public relations industry beforehand and felt that it suited his interests of freedom, openness, and expanding relationships.
