On the morning of May 13, the Phan Thiet City Pioneer Council organized activities to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers (May 15, 1941 - May 15, 2023) and commend the outstanding Pioneer leaders and members of the 2022-2023 school year. Attending were representatives of the Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union, the Phan Thiet City Department of Education and Training, the Pioneer leaders of schools and nearly 100 outstanding students and members.
During the program, the team members reviewed the tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers' Founding Day. Through that, each child and team member was able to look back at the heroic history of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers' Team and encouraged and motivated them to demonstrate their role as good children and good students, good grandchildren of Uncle Ho, to do well the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho, to inherit and promote the tradition of the Young Pioneers' Team, and to step up to the Youth Union.
Carrying out the work of the Team and the youth movement, at the program, the Phan Thiet City Team Council presented a symbolic plaque to donate a playground worth 30 million VND to Lac Dao Primary School and received the contribution of the Phan Thiet Charity Association to the scholarship fund "For beloved juniors" worth 50 million VND. At the same time, 4 bicycles and 20 scholarships were awarded to poor students with difficult circumstances who have made great achievements in their studies.
On this occasion, the City Youth Union Council also honored 12 Youth Union leaders and 20 outstanding members for the period 2020 - 2023. In addition, a poetry and literature writing contest was organized for 46 primary and secondary school students, aiming to promote creativity and demonstrate their talents.
