On March 8, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company organized the launch of the super ship Thang Long carrying passengers from Vung Tau City to Con Dao and vice versa.

Thang Long ship is designed with 3 floors, the ground floor has 300 VIP seats, helping passengers minimize seasickness. The first and second floors have 717 economy seats. The third floor is the cockpit and bar to help passengers relax and feel comfortable during the trip.
Mr. Vu Van Khuong, General Director of Phu Quoc Express Ship Joint Stock Company, said that Thang Long ship is the largest single-hull ship in Vietnam, with the largest aluminum alloy hull in Southeast Asia. The ship is 77.46m long and 9.49m wide.
High-end audio and visual systems, soundproof floors, high-end leather seats with 5-star service meeting European quality and safety standards. This passenger ship ensures to meet the strict standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and can operate safely on large seas to the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa islands.

The Thang Long ship has 3 main engines with a capacity of nearly 12,000 horsepower, a maximum speed of up to 32 nautical miles/hour, shortening the time to Con Dao to only 3 hours. With this special design, the Thang Long passenger ship can travel in harsh weather conditions such as level 8 gusts, wave heights up to 6m while still having high stability and minimizing longitudinal sway...
Up to now, the ship system of Phu Quoc Express Joint Stock Company has reached 11 ships, which have been exploiting and operating routes to Vietnam's pearl islands such as Phu Quoc, Con Dao and most recently the Da Nang - Ly Son, Phan Thiet - Phu Quy routes.
The ticket price of Thang Long ferry from Vung Tau City to Con Dao and vice versa ranges from 550,000 VND/passenger to 1.2 million VND/passenger. Departure time from Vung Tau to Con Dao is at 7:30 am and from Con Dao to Vung Tau is at 1 pm.
