Quang Ninh: The Celebrity Solstice cruise ship with nearly 2,700 foreign guests docked at Ha Long port this morning, the final stop on its cruise along the coast of Vietnam.
After docking, tourists left the ship to explore famous destinations in Quang Ninh, before moving to Hanoi and Hai Phong City.
Thomas Rosen (German nationality) shared that he was "very excited to be preparing to visit Ha Long Bay" and was impressed with the design style of the Ha Long International Passenger Port terminal, "like a corner of Hoi An ancient town", "classic and graceful".
Celebrity Solstice sailed through Singapore - Thailand - Cambodia - Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang - Chan May - Tien Sa before arriving in Ha Long. The ship is scheduled to leave at 5pm on November 14 to return to Hong Kong.

The Celebrity Solstice was built by Meyer Werf, the world's leading shipbuilder in Germany, under the order of the Celebrity Cruises (Miami, USA) travel company, with a total cost of 745 million USD. The super ship has a capacity of 2,852 people, a tonnage of up to 122,000 tons, launched in 2008, and is one of the largest modern, luxurious and comfortable ships in the world today.
According to the registration schedule, another luxury international cruise ship named Regatta will dock on November 14, carrying 700 guests from Europe and the US. This group of guests will go to Ha Long, then Tien Sa - Chan May - Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City, before moving to Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore.
Entering the 2023 cruise season, Ha Long has welcomed a series of large-scale passenger ships to visit Ha Long Bay and Quang Ninh's tourist destinations. In the last two months of the year alone, 16 large cruise ships registered to dock. International tourists traveling by cruise ship will supplement and enrich the source of tourists to Quang Ninh in particular, and Vietnam in general, when the low season of domestic tourism begins.
In addition, the number of ships registered to dock at Ha Long International Passenger Port in 2024 has reached nearly 60 trips with more than 70,000 passengers, including many major brands such as Mein Schiff 6 and 5, Celebrity Solstice, Noordam, MSC Splendida, Westerdam.

According to cruise tourism experts, Ha Long Bay is located on an important maritime traffic route in Asia, suitable for connecting cruise tourism routes in the region and the world, especially close to China, where many international cruise lines bring cruise ships to exploit. Ha Long is also the closest point to other North Asian markets such as Taiwan, Korea, Japan, so it has more conditions to attract visitors.
In the first 10 months of 2023, Quang Ninh welcomed nearly 14 million visitors, an increase of over 40% over the same period in 2022. Of which, international visitors reached nearly 1.4 million, an increase of nearly 8 times over the same period in 2022.
