The enterprise's fiscal year 2023 is from January 1 to December 31, so the deadline for submitting the 2023 financial report is March 30, 2024.
However, up to now, Tan Tao Investment and Industry Joint Stock Company (ITA) has not had this report, shareholders are wondering about the reason.
Responding at the shareholders' meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong - General Director of Tan Tao - said that finding auditing companies is very difficult.
ITA's leadership has tried its best to convince auditing companies, but currently no unit dares to audit the enterprise for fear that their auditors will also be suspended from practicing auditing, Mr. Phong revealed.
According to ITA leaders, there have been many documents requesting HoSE and the Securities Commission to support in finding an auditing company.
Due to force majeure, ITA has sent documents requesting the management agency to temporarily postpone the disclosure of audited financial statements and annual reports for 2023 as prescribed.
At the meeting, a shareholder questioned that he previously bought ITA shares at 17,000 VND, but for more than two years now the price has dropped to only 5,000 - 6,000 VND/share.
"If I sell now, I will lose money. What plans does the group have to increase the stock price again?", shareholders wondered.
Ms. Maya Dangelas (formerly known as Dang Thi Hoang Yen) - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors - shared that all shareholders want the stock price to increase again.
"In fact, ITA shares have always had high liquidity and brought profitable value to swing traders. The stock price does not affect the ownership ratio or the rights of shareholders," said Ms. Maya Dangelas.
Notably, the ITA chairman said that since May 2022, the enterprise has been sabotaged by many bad forces behind the scenes in order to take over ITA.
The company has had to make strong efforts to fight for justice, to demand fairness and compensation for damages. Currently, the lawsuit is being resolved, the ITA chairman emphasized.
How does Tan Tao do business?
Tan Tao's annual general meeting of shareholders approved this year's business plan with expected revenue of VND530 billion, after-tax profit of VND178 billion, dividends will depend on the operating situation and be decided by the Board of Directors.
After the first 3 months of 2024, ITA achieved total revenue of more than 71 billion VND and profit after tax of 20 billion VND, up 16% and 33% respectively over the same period last year.
