Vietnam’s industrial real estate is experiencing a period of strong development thanks to the shift in global supply chains and the Government’s drastic investment attraction policies. In the context of an increasingly deeply integrated economy, the demand for industrial land is increasing, leading to the expansion and addition of many new industrial parks in local planning.

In particular, many provinces and cities across the country are proactively promoting the planning of new industrial parks to meet investment needs and increase competitiveness.

On February 17, 2022, Bac Giang was the first locality to have its planning approved, and by December 31, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City was the last of 63 localities to have completed the approval of its planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. This is an important basis and a clear direction for economic and industrial development of each locality.

In the new planning, each locality sets the goal of attracting investment and developing industrial land area to catch up with the wave of production shift. Notably, many localities do not only stop at expanding existing industrial parks but also actively add many new industrial parks with large areas, creating strong growth momentum.
