Information from the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance: By 2024, the country will have more than 13,000 OCOP products with 3 stars or more. Among more than 7,000 OCOP entities, more than 2,000 cooperatives have OCOP products; 46% of OCOP products increased in output after being recognized as OCOP with an average increase in sales revenue of 30%; more than 50% of OCOP products had an increase in price with an average increase of more than 17%...

Informing the press about the important activities in the coming time, Vice President of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Dinh Hong Thai said: On the afternoon of December 5, there will be a conference connecting trade between cooperatives producing in the Medicinal Materials industry with export enterprises and trade promotion organizations (at Bien Nho Hotel, Sam Son, Thanh Hoa province). The conference is organized with the following contents: Exchange, sign contracts, cooperation memorandums, connect supply - demand, trade between cooperatives producing in the Medicinal Materials industry with affiliated members of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, export enterprises and trade promotion organizations in the Medicinal Materials industry; display and introduce products of the Medicinal Materials industry and 100 typical products of cooperatives in 2024 from 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

Next, at 8:00 p.m. on December 11, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance will host the Ceremony to honor typical cooperative products and award the first Mai An Tiem Award in 2024 (Coop Gold Product Awards 2024) at the Army Theater, 130 Ho Tung Mau Street, Mai Dich Ward, Cau Giay District ( Hanoi ). The ceremony will be broadcast live on VTC6 channel.

This award aims to recognize and honor the products of cooperatives and cooperative unions with prestige, quality, competitiveness, large consumption markets, trusted by consumers, contributing positively to the development of the collective economic sector and cooperatives; contributing to improving productivity, quality and competitiveness of products to meet the requirements of domestic and foreign markets, promoting national identity, traditional values, and spreading in the community...

At the ceremony, 100 typical products of cooperatives nationwide will be awarded the first Mai An Tiem Award, including 75 products in the food and beverage sector, 10 products from medicinal herbs and medicinal preparations, 13 handicraft and small-scale industrial products, and 2 products in the tourism sector. Also at the ceremony, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance will launch the Action Month for Cooperatives and the International Year of Cooperatives in 2025.

Specifically, the 13th Executive Committee Conference of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, term VI, 2020-2025, will take place, with the content of summarizing the activities of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance in 2024; deploying tasks in 2025; opening the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 with the theme "Cooperatives build a better world" held in New Delhi, India on November 25, 2024, on the occasion of the General Assembly of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) taking place from November 25-30, 2024, with the participation of more than 3,000 delegates who are leaders and members of national cooperative organizations around the world.

The International Year of Cooperatives 2025 will take place over a year, to inspire cooperatives around the world, promote the great contributions of the cooperative sector to society, honor achievements and further actions to develop the cooperative sector and improve people's lives.
