At the opening of the program, the audience enjoyed Se chi lo kim - a familiar Vietnamese folk song arranged by musician Tran Manh Hung.
Se chi lo kim is a charming song, rustic, full of emotions in the melody, typical of the simple and emotional character of the Vietnamese people. In particular, the Quan Ho melody is expressed through the rich timbre of the instruments in the symphony orchestra, making the song both strange and familiar and also very interesting.
Pianist Hsin-Chiao Liao's performance of Piano Concerto in C minor (Tyzen Hsiao) also received long applause from the audience. Liao Hsin-Chiao's talent was recognized by audiences and music critics from a very young age.
The organizing committee awarded scholarships to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.
The Taiwan Excellence concert program also aims to bring positive values to the community through charity work.
The Organizing Committee awarded 4 units, including: Hanoi University of Science and Technology scholarship fund 400 million VND; Ho Chi Minh City University of Science and Technology scholarship fund 400 million VND; sponsorship to build a kitchen for Thang Mo highland kindergarten, Yen Minh, Ha Giang province 250 million VND; Vietnam Volunteer Resource Information Center under the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union: 150 million VND.
