The high price means that they sell everything they harvest, earning over 10 million VND in "fresh money".
With positive signals from the market, farmers in Hung Thang village, Cam Hung commune, Cam Xuyen district shared: The family planted on an area of over 1 mu of rice fields, with an estimated yield of 2.6 quintals/sao. Khang Dan 18 rice is purchased by traders at 6,500 - 6,700 VND/kg, buying as much as there is; the price of dry rice is over 8,500 VND/kg, 1,000 VND/kg higher than last summer-autumn crop, so farmers are very happy.
According to information from businesses and traders, summer-autumn rice prices are at their highest level in recent years, ranging from 6,000 - 6,500 VND/kg of fresh rice.
