According to the reporter's records on the afternoon of October 31, the inter-commune road from Nghi Quang to Nghi Thiet, Nghi Loc district, connecting from Provincial Road 536 to Bara Nghi Quang, has seriously degraded. After the recent rains, the road surface has revealed hundreds of potholes, stagnant water, causing traffic safety problems.

The most serious problem is in Thanh Vinh 1 and Thanh Vinh 2 hamlets, Nghi Quang commune. Here, the road surface has sunk and eroded, and some sections of the road look like miniature ponds, with the asphalt completely peeled off. During rush hour, many students and residents have difficulty crossing, which is potentially dangerous.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, a local resident, said: This road was previously degraded, it was dusty when it was sunny, and it sank when it rained, and many people fell off their bikes. Since the coastal road project was started, the road has deteriorated even more due to the many vehicles carrying materials passing through. We, the people, always support the project, but the relevant departments need to ensure the safety of the people during the implementation process.
Nghi Quang commune authorities said that due to the degraded road condition, the locality has proposed repairing and upgrading the road to ensure people's safety, especially during the rainy and stormy season.

Through discussion, the representative of the Economic Infrastructure Department of Nghi Loc district said: To construct the coastal road project, the Department of Transport has borrowed this route as a public road to transport construction materials. Therefore, the road degradation and impact on people's lives is inevitable. However, the Department has also committed to repairing and restoring the road when the project is completed so that people can travel safely.

People in Nghi Loc district, especially Nghi Quang and Nghi Thiet communes... really hope that units will speed up the construction progress of the coastal road, soon restore the road surface or temporarily repair it to minimize the danger to people in the upcoming rainy and stormy days.
