After 5 hours of announcing the account number, AISVN school received nearly 18 billion VND from parents.

On the evening of April 1, the American International School Vietnam (AISVN) sent a notice to all parents, updating the balance status of the account receiving donations to maintain school operations.

According to the announcement of AISVN International School, immediately after the account number was announced at 2:00 p.m. the same day, many parents quickly contributed by bank transfer.

"The account balance was just updated at 7:00 p.m. to 17.7 billion VND," the announcement from AISVN International School stated.

However, because the account has just been set up, the transfer cannot be made on the same day. In addition, the school needs an extra day to resolve the issue of paying teachers' salaries. Therefore, students will not be able to go to school tomorrow (April 2).

According to the school, the expected return date for all students is Wednesday (April 3).

As reported by VTC News, on the same afternoon, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City signed a document sent to all parents of AISVN International School, announcing information on account numbers and contributions to support costs to ensure the school's operations.

The document stated that, based on the results of the meeting on March 30, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with representatives of parents, AISVN International School and Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) to open an account to receive contributions from all parents.

The contribution aims to create the most favorable conditions for teaching and learning activities at AISVN International School to return to normal, ensuring students' right to go to school.

According to the announcement from the Department, all the money contributed by parents will be compiled by the Interdisciplinary Working Group and a specific list will be provided for parents to conveniently update and monitor.

The above account has 3 co-owners and approvers: Representative of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Tran Khac Huy - Head of Financial Planning Department (Account owner 1 approves the final payment contents); Representative of AISVN International School, Mr. Ho Quang Trung (Account owner 2 approves the first payment contents); Representative of the Parents' Representative Board, Ms. Tran Phuong Anh (Supervisor of the first payment contents when the accountant of AISVN International School submits).

All contributions from parents will be compiled, managed and made public in a transparent manner by the Interdisciplinary Working Group. The amount of contributions will be approved by the professional department of the Interdisciplinary Working Group for proper spending, under the supervision of representatives of the Parents Association of AISVN International School, specifically:

Step 1: The School's Chief Accountant, based on the approved detailed plan of expenditure items, will create a money transfer order and submit it to the Parents' Representative Committee for supervision and approval.

Step 2: The authorized person of the second account owner agrees to approve the first time.

Step 3: The authorized person of the first account owner approves to complete the money transfer order.

Based on the review of data reported by AISVN American International School, the level of parent contribution to support the maintenance of AISVN International School until the end of the 2023 - 2024 school year is as follows:
Kindergarten: 28.5 million VND; Primary school: 43.5 million VND; Grades 6 to 8: 20.5 - 61.5 million VND; Grades 9 to 12: 25.5 - 76.5 million VND.
After finalizing the revenue and expenditure for the 2023-2024 school year, the Interdisciplinary Team will request the American International School AISVN to hire an independent auditing company to publicly audit the settlement data according to regulations.
