On the evening of July 16, Noo Phuoc Thinh released a MV titled "Kidding Me, It Hurts". The song was composed by Tuno, the arrangement was by DuckV. The MV was directed by Dinh Ha Uyen Thu.
No longer the haunting ballads, this time back, Noo Phuoc Thinh's music is more vibrant. The song has a strong rhythm, showing off his dancing strengths. Although it is a genre that is quite popular in the US-UK market but not easily accessible in the Vietnamese market, Noo Phuoc Thinh said he wants to test himself, wants to blend in with the flow of contemporary music and wants to once again conquer listeners with a different musical style.
Before " I'm kidding you, it hurts " , Noo Phuoc Thinh had been successful with vibrant songs like "I'm till l oving you " ( Khac Hung), " I do n't believe i n you " (Khoa Nguyen - Chau Dang Khoa)... Noo Phuoc Thinh's comeback this time is not really new but like a step to upgrade himself and explore the market for his next musical choices.
Noo Phuoc Thinh opened up for the first time about the reason why he has been “hibernating” for the past 4 years. “I went through a big crisis. The fire of my career sometimes got smaller, sometimes it went out completely. There were times when I thought that every path has an end, I probably wouldn’t be able to live with my passion anymore. Too much pressure would no longer be passion, but coercion. In the past 4 years, there were also times when I thought about retiring and living a normal life. But thanks to the love of the audience, I had more motivation to overcome those storms.”
The MV " Joking with you " is the opening product for Noo Phuoc Thinh's new music chapter. After the MV, he held the showcase "Noo's Special Night" on July 21. The show was the first live performance of the new song and a series of hits.
