Billionaire Sheikh Jassim once proposed recruiting Kylian Mbappe

In a recent statement on AFP , Mbappe informed the reigning Ligue 1 champions of his decision to leave last year.

Mbappe's £500m deal with PSG runs until 2024 and has an option to extend until 2025.

However, Kylian Mbappe refused to activate the 12-month contract extension clause. PSG will not allow the French striker to leave for free next year. Therefore, they will look to sell Mbappe this summer.

According to El Pais , if MU is taken over by a Qatari billionaire, this will pave the way for an attractive blockbuster transfer deal.

Earlier this year, as soon as he had the intention of buying MU, Qatari bank owner Sheikh Jassim proposed recruiting Mbappe.
