On the afternoon of November 1, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry - Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI) coordinated with Lien Minh Wood Handicraft Joint Stock Company to organize information about the 15th Vietnam International Furniture and Handicraft Export Fair (VIFA EXPO) in 2024 and the Vietnam ASEAN International Furniture and Handicraft Export Fair (VIFA ASEAN) 2024.

The Organizing Committee said that the 15th VIFA EXPO will take place from February 26 to 29, 2024, at the Sky Expo International Convention and Exhibition Center (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City). This is the pioneer fair in the chain of the largest furniture fairs in Asia in 2024. VIFA EXPO is expected to attract more than 600 participating businesses with more than 2,000 booths, gathering a large number of reputable suppliers and manufacturers of furniture, handicrafts and decorations in Vietnam and other countries. Of which, Vietnamese enterprises account for 46% and foreign enterprises account for 54%. Within the framework of VIFA EXPO, there will be activities: Specialized seminars, factory tours.

In addition, in August 2024, the 2nd VIFA ASEAN Fair will also be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). The fair is expected to attract over 400 participating businesses with over 1,200 booths, especially with the participation of ASEAN countries.

The organizers hope that through the program, it will contribute to promoting the export of wood and Vietnamese handicrafts to developed countries more strongly, in the context of the wood and handicraft industry facing difficulties and on the way to recovery.

In fact, in a difficult context, regularly participating in domestic and international fairs not only helps businesses find new customers and markets but also helps them learn practical experiences from manufacturers and traders around the world.

Typically, the VIFA ASEAN 2023 Fair gathered 198 businesses from 10 countries and territories around the world, attracting 9,438 visitors. Within the framework of the 2023 fair, 3 specialized seminars and factory tours took place in Binh Duong, helping businesses have many opportunities to connect and learn from experiences.

In particular, VIFA ASEAN 2023 has the participation of two "giants" in the world of e-commerce, Alibaba and Amazon, to help provide information to support businesses in expanding opportunities to integrate into international markets through cross-border e-commerce exports.

Previously, VIFA EXPO 2023 (March 2023) welcomed more than 18,000 visitors, including nearly 6,000 visitors from 117 countries around the world. The Organizing Committee recorded the value of transactions signed at the fair reaching nearly 100 million USD.
