La Lan, Hong Kong artist who plays "The Return of the Condor Heroes", wears ao dai while eating pho, recounts memories of coming to Vietnam 50 years ago.
According to Mp Weekly on October 20, the 89-year-old actress transformed into a Vietnamese woman to film a pho commercial in Hong Kong. La Lan said that before collaborating with the restaurant, she invited her friends to come here to try the food, then accepted the commercial.

The filming reminded her of about half a century ago, when she and her colleagues from TVB's Hoan Lac Kim Tieu program came to Vietnam for work. After finishing the show, everyone wanted to go out to eat pho. The actors agreed to gather at the hotel gate to go out to eat. However, at that time there was a curfew, so the plan could not be carried out. La Lan said: "Luckily the hotel staff stopped us, so we did not cause trouble." Later, when she returned to travel, she was able to enjoy the local taste of pho.
While filming, La Lan attracted the attention of diners at the restaurant. Many people commented that she was lively and had a cheerful face at the age of nearly 90.
La Lan has been in the film industry for 63 years, appearing in more than 300 films and television productions. The artist played Cuu Thien Xich in two versions of The Return of the Condor Heroes starring Andy Lau and Louis Koo. She also appeared in The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl , The Sky's Boundless , and The Rebirth of Fate ...
In the film industry, La Lan left her mark with the image of a female ghost in the horror series The Yin Yang Road . In 2000, she won the Best Actress award at the Hong Kong Film Awards for her leading role in The Violent Crimes . La Lan also appeared in famous films such as The Deer and the Cauldron: The Legend of the Dragon , The Royal Female General , The White-Haired Ghost Girl 2...
The artist has never been married and has no children. According to U Life Style , she had 10 love affairs, then suffered from a fear of men and lost interest in dating. La Lan believes that the love affairs did not bear fruit partly because she was stubborn and suspicious, and partly because their personalities were not compatible.
La Lan is content with her single life. The artist said that the older she gets, the more she values the time she spends with friends, arranging to go out for meals and tea when she has free time. In addition to her friends in the film and television industry, La Lan is also close to a group of friends of the same religion. The artist said that even when she is not filming, she still has plenty of things to do.
The actress regularly participates in charity programs to help children and lonely elderly people. She once subsidized raising two orphans and auctioned off jewelry to raise money for a fund to help the elderly.
