Korean stars eat 12 bowls of pho, mixed rice paper, balut, want to try blood pudding

(Dan Tri) - Famous Korean stars such as Super Junior LSS, BamBam (GOT7), Lee Jong Suk showed their love for Vietnamese cuisine when coming to Ho Chi Minh City on this occasion.

During the audience interaction at the Wow-K Music Festival on the evening of October 21 in Ho Chi Minh City, singer Siwon (Super Junior) revealed that he ate 12 bowls of pho during his days in Vietnam.

"You guys think this is a joke, right? This morning I ate two bowls, then at noon I ate two bowls, yesterday I ate four bowls, and in Nha Trang I also ate two bowls," Siwon said.

He humorously said "My name is Siwon Pho", promising to come to Vietnam more often.

Before the show, leader Leeteuk posted on his personal page photos of himself eating pho, fried spring rolls, and spring rolls. After the show, despite it being midnight, he filmed a video of himself eating Huynh Hoa bread - a famous brand in Ho Chi Minh City.

Super Junior member Shidong also shared that he is "addicted" to bread. "I ate it this morning, and I'll eat it again after the performance. The bread is so delicious," he said during the performance on October 21.

The male singer felt strange because when he was in Korea he didn't like eating vegetables but when he came to Vietnam he found them very delicious. Siwon replied: "Do you know why? Because I like Vietnam so much."

Siwon, Leeteuk, Shindong are three members of Super Junior's subgroup - Super Junior LSS, formed in 2022. The group came to Vietnam to perform within the framework of Wow-K Music Festival . In addition to Super Junior LSS, the program brought together many other Korean artists such as: Chanyeol (EXO), Park Ji Hoon (Wanna One), CIX, DJ Raiden. The program lasts until October 22, with artists iKON, Kang Daniel.

During a fan meeting that evening, actor Lee Jong Suk said he was losing weight for his tour but still ate two bowls of beef noodle soup.

"Yesterday, I just arrived at the hotel around midnight, everyone fed me pho. I ate too much so I had to run on the treadmill right away," Lee Jong Suk humorously shared.

In addition, he also revealed that his favorite food in Vietnam is banh mi, promising fans to try Saigon broken rice.

Before coming to Ho Chi Minh City for the AREA52 World Tour concert , BamBam (GOT7) posted on social media, asking the audience for their opinions on snacks in Ho Chi Minh City.

He said he wanted to try balut "to get rid of bad luck", mixed rice paper... instead of traditional dishes that are too famous like pho. He also revealed that he is willing to try blood pudding as suggested by fans.

At the press conference before the show, BamBam said that he had previously performed in Vietnam with the group GOT7. This time, he decided to choose Ho Chi Minh City as the destination for the AREA52 World Tour.   mine because of "love for Vietnamese food".
