Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized: “Going abroad is bringing Vietnam’s knowledge and digital technology to open up new frontiers. Letting the world know Vietnam is not only because Vietnam is the destination but also because of where Vietnam is going. Going abroad is for Vietnam to contribute to the development of humanity.”

Since 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications has paid special attention to supporting Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to reach out to international markets. Specifically, a new category of the “Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product” Award – “Outstanding digital technology products for foreign markets” – has been added to honor enterprises with digital technology products and services that have achieved success in international markets.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry, this category is not only a prestigious award but also a motivation for Vietnamese enterprises to reach further, affirming their brands on the world technology map.

Specifically, the category "Outstanding digital technology products for foreign markets" is evaluated based on two major groups of criteria:

One, creative design (35/100 points): Products are evaluated on their uniqueness, ability to apply new technology, ease of use and compatibility. The jury also considers the role of Vietnamese people in product design and creation.

Second, value in foreign markets (65/100 points): This group of criteria focuses on revenue, growth rate, market size, and customer satisfaction. In addition, the product must demonstrate its ability to compete with international competitors.

According to Mr. Tuyen, these criteria not only help identify excellent products but also serve as a benchmark for Vietnamese businesses to improve quality and enhance global competitiveness.

Continuing with the success of the previous years' Awards on a large scale nationwide, gathering all individuals, organizations and businesses in the ICT industry in the country, in order to meet the policies and goals set by the Government and the Ministry of Information and Communications in 2024, this year's Awards will seek and honor outstanding digital technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence, creating new momentum for economic growth, creating national competitive advantages and increasing labor productivity, creating more practical and comprehensive results that bring value to people and businesses in digital transformation, developing the digital economy for industries, socio-economic fields and new digital technology products.

The award also continues to honor Vietnamese digital technology products that conquer the world, contributing to the development of humanity and prosperity of Vietnam.
