The Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City regarding the project to organize cultural and sports activities at Sen Hong stage, signed by Mr. Tran The Thuan - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.

Sen Hong Stage is located in area B of 23-9 park, Pham Ngu Lao ward, district 1, Ho Chi Minh city.

This is a beautiful location, also a convenient place to organize cultural and artistic activities to serve the people and tourists.

However, over the past 4 years, Sen Hong stage has temporarily stopped operating according to the plan to renovate 23-9 Park in Ho Chi Minh City, causing this stage to seriously deteriorate.

Locals and tourists passing through this area cannot help but feel sorry because this is one of the large outdoor stages that once hosted many grand art programs.

The project to organize cultural and sports activities at Sen Hong stage will help revive this stage.

The Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City proposed that the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City consider and approve the policy of assigning the Department of Culture and Sports to continue carrying out cultural and artistic activities at Sen Hong stage while waiting for the renovation of 23-9 park.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Center will take over the management and operation of the Sen Hong stage.

According to the project, phase 1 will repair the stage, decorate, ensure hygiene, electricity, water, sound, lighting, security... Implemented in the second quarter of 2024.

Repair costs are balanced from the repair budget allocated in the 2024 cultural and information career budget of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.

Phase 2 will operate and develop Sen Hong stage activities according to the plan and policies of competent authorities. The stage is expected to officially operate on the occasion of International Children's Day 2024.

The maintenance of trees and public lighting will continue to be carried out by relevant units and funding will be ensured as at present.

The opening of Sen Hong Stage will contribute to creating another entertainment spot for children on the weekends.

According to statistics from the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, Sen Hong stage operated from 2013 to mid-2019 (when it temporarily stopped operating), performed 901 performances, attracting 515,000 viewers, mainly children.
