Samsung Electronics announced that Samsung Knox, the trusted security solution built into its 2024 TV products, has achieved Common Criteria (CC) certification ahead of the official launch of its new 2024 premium TV lineup.
CC certification is a global standard recognized by 31 countries around the world to evaluate the comprehensive security of IT products, and Samsung has achieved CC certification for 10 consecutive years with Samsung Knox, a leading security solution for its TV products that continues to improve year after year.
CC certification highlights three core security features of Samsung Knox:
Tizen OS Monitoring : Samsung Knox proactively detects potential attack threats in real-time, flagging any unauthorized changes in critical areas of Tizen OS, the core operating system of Samsung TVs.
Block phishing websites : Samsung Knox verifies websites visited by users, and blocks any phishing websites to protect user data and privacy.
Advanced Personal Information Protection : Samsung Knox ensures seamless protection of users' sensitive personal data through a secure connection to Samsung Knox Vault, a dedicated processor for security functions.
This year, Samsung Knox continues to demonstrate its outstanding global security capabilities by achieving this certification before the 2024 TV products are officially launched on the market.
“As our lives become increasingly connected, Samsung understands that privacy and security are essential for our customers,” said Yongjae Kim, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We are extremely proud to have achieved CC certification for 10 consecutive years for Samsung Knox on our TVs, all based on our continuous efforts to improve our security measures and standards.”
