Four 5th grade girls tragically drowned while picking lotus flowers and bathing in the canal.

On the evening of May 20, Ham Thuan Bac District Police ( Binh Thuan ) said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the commune, killing four fifth-grade girls.

Initial information, at around 2pm the same day, a group of students went to pick lotus and bathe in the canal of Song Quao Lake, on the border between Ham Phu and Thuan Minh communes, Ham Thuan Bac district. Here, 4 students were unfortunately swept away by the water.

Discovering the incident, a friend on the shore shouted for help, but by the time people arrived, it was too late. At around 7 p.m. the same day, the bodies of the four girls were found and handed over to their families for funeral arrangements.

It is known that the 4 students who drowned were all 5th grade students at Ham Phu 1 Primary School.
