Bustling youth energy towards the Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City

Despite the heavy rain on the morning of October 27, the 2024 youth festival towards the 9th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union was bustling with activities of more than 300 young people.

The festival was jointly held by the Vietnam Youth Union, Cluster 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, including districts 4, 6, 8, 11, Phu Nhuan and Binh Thanh, at Vo Van Kiet High School (District 8). Chairwoman of the Vietnam Youth Union, District 8, Le Thi Ngoc Anh (cluster leader) said the festival created a playground for exchange, gathering young people and a training environment for members and young people.

There are many playgrounds for young people to choose from such as the photo exhibition to welcome the congress, the area for physical games - folk games "Healthy Youth", the golden bell contest "Uncle Ho's Youth with the 9th Congress", the festival "October Sounds" with the theme I love my Fatherland .

Along with that, there was also a discussion on "Improving the quality of club activities to support reformed youth and post-detention youth reintegrating into the community" and praising progressive youth examples in 2024.

The "English for Youth" playground with activities and 30 English scholarships for disadvantaged young people. In addition, the fanpage "I love my Fatherland" of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Youth Union also launched many challenges and online activities and invited members and young people to participate.

Meanwhile, the Golden Bell playground includes many questions to help you learn about the traditions of the Vietnam Youth Union and the movements and activities associated with the organization.

"To me, the name and activities of the "I love my Fatherland" movement are very emotional, inspiring people to do good deeds to contribute to building the country" - Lan Anh shared.

At the seminar "Improving the quality of club activities to support reformed youth and post-rehabilitation youth reintegrating into the community", the units said that club activities and activities need to be linked to needs and stimulate initiative because the general psychology of reformed and post-rehabilitation youth is quite self-conscious and unsociable.

Opinions say that the Association needs to accompany career guidance, introduce jobs, and provide credit to help people borrow capital to stabilize their lives and rebuild their lives after making mistakes. On the other hand, the Association continues to organize "Journey of Faith" to centers and rehabilitation facilities to provide counseling so that people have more motivation to practice and choose a direction after completing their rehabilitation period.

Recruit new members

More than 70 young people were admitted to the 68th class of members on the occasion of the Vietnam Youth Union's Traditional Day (October 15). Nguyen Thanh Hung (22 years old) - a new member - said he really likes volunteer activities and cultural and sports activities organized by the Association, so he volunteered to join the Association.

"I like volunteer activities to protect the environment and take care of poor children the most because we can work together to make the community better" - Hung said.
