According to GSMArena , the most notable feature on the new Redmi Buds 5 is 46 dB noise cancellation. The software allows users to choose between three noise cancellation modes and transparent listening when they need to hear outside sounds.
Redmi Buds 5 Standard Edition
Interestingly, the noise cancellation feature on the Redmi Buds 5 also works for calls, and Xiaomi says it has adopted a new AI-powered noise cancellation algorithm combined with two noise-canceling microphones. Sound quality on the Redmi Buds 5 is also improved thanks to the product coming with a long-range coil for high precision, combined with a 12.4mm driver with a titanium-coated diaphragm.
Battery life is also a standout feature on Xiaomi's new wireless headset model as it offers up to 40 hours of music playback when combined with the charging case, while the fast charging solution allows users to listen to music continuously for 2 hours with just 5 minutes of charging.
Special edition developed in collaboration with AAPE
Redmi Buds 5 brings a new and more convenient design. In addition, the company also launched a special edition developed in collaboration with clothing company AAPE. That version of Redmi Buds 5 comes with camouflage paint technology that gives it an interesting and powerful look.
At the moment, the Redmi Buds 5 are only available in China and it is unclear whether the company will release them in other markets. The standard version of the earbuds is priced at $27, while the AAPE version is priced at $40.
