Realme has just launched a super-fast smartphone charging technology of up to 320W, becoming the world's first fast charger with a capacity of over 300W.

This impressive figure far exceeds the charging speed of some smartphone brands currently on the market. For example, the OnePlus 12 needs nearly 30 minutes to fully charge the battery, or the Xiaomi 13 Pro also takes about 20 minutes with a 120W charger.
Realme's super-fast smartphone charging technology is called "SuperSonic Charge". According to the Chinese smartphone company, the charger can help the phone charge 26% of the battery in 60 seconds and reach 50% of the battery after 120 seconds. This is a test result and the actual result may vary slightly depending on the battery capacity as well as the power source in each specific area.
To achieve such speeds, the manufacturer said they were inspired by solar panels often installed on satellites to create a foldable battery that can fold 4 battery cells into a structure only about 3mm thick, thereby simultaneously charging these battery cells.
In addition, Realme also introduced a new 320w charger called "Pocket Cannon". The charger will provide 2 USB-C ports as well as support many different charging standards such as Power Delivery, SuperVOOC and especially UFCS (Universal Fast Charging Specification).
This is a common fast charging standard that has been adopted by many Chinese manufacturers since 2022, and Realme said that UFCS helped the company achieve 320W charging capacity.
In the near future, Realme may also launch a smartphone equipped with a special battery that can "withstand" this super-fast charging capacity.
Meanwhile, Chinese site IT Home reported last June that Apple's upcoming iPhone 16 generation will also be equipped with faster charging than its predecessor, with capacities of 20W (MagSafe charging) and 40W (wired charging) for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max duo, respectively.
Currently, the iPhone 15 series supports 27W wired fast charging when using a compatible charger, allowing the battery to be charged to 50% in about 30 minutes. The MagSafe charging capacity on this device reaches a maximum of 15W.
