On the afternoon of September 12, the Provincial Tourism Association (PPTA) held an expanded Executive Committee (EC) meeting; introducing the new chairman and committees of the PPTA.

According to the report, in the first 8 months of 2024, the provincial Tourism Association focused on directing and implementing tourism promotion activities, advertising and attracting tourists to Thanh Hoa. Along with that, focusing on overcoming limitations and removing difficulties to support member businesses, contributing to the implementation of tourism development tasks. Notably, many tourism promotion, advertising and promotion activities have been deployed and implemented effectively by the Tourism Association and its affiliated associations and branches.
Provincial leaders presented flowers to congratulate the new Chairman, Vice Chairmen and newly established committees of the Provincial People's Committee.
The conference announced Mr. Le Xuan Thao as Chairman of the Provincial Association of Tourism for the 4th term, 2022 - 2027. Along with that, the Provincial Association of Tourism Executive Board and 9 specialized committees were introduced, including: Advisory Board; Inspection and Protection of Member Rights Committee; Member Development Committee; Communication - Event Organization Committee; Sports, Culture and Social Charity Committee; Emulation and Reward Organizing Committee; Finance Committee; Tourism Project Development Committee; Training and Development Committee.
Mr. Le Xuan Thao, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave a speech accepting the assignment.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Xuan Thao - the new Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association affirmed: “The achievements that the Thanh Hoa Tourism Association has achieved in recent years stem from many factors, including the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee. Along with that is the attention and active support of the Vietnam Tourism Association, departments, branches, and local authorities of the province, especially the enthusiastic and dedicated efforts of the Provincial Tourism Association Executive Committee, term IV, 2022 - 2027, and the active participation of the members. These are important premises for me to be able to successfully fulfill the assigned responsibilities as Chairman of the Tourism Association. As Chairman of the Tourism Association, I will, together with the members of the Executive Committee and all member businesses, be determined to fulfill the assigned tasks and goals, contributing to the development of Thanh Hoa tourism into a spearhead economic sector”.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the results achieved by the Provincial People's Committee in the past time, and congratulated Mr. Le Xuan Thao on being trusted and elected as Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee for the 2022 - 2027 term.
To promote the achieved results, he suggested that HHDL should focus on innovating the content and methods of operation, including regularly orienting and supporting businesses and connecting members in investment, business and promotion activities.... In particular, HHDL needs to further promote its role as a bridge, a solid support for local tourism businesses in exploring, learning how to approach and expand the market of international tourists, MICE tourists and long-term vacationers... To do that, the provincial HHDL needs to diversify its methods of operation, improve the effectiveness of promoting and advertising to partners and domestic and foreign tourists. Thereby contributing to raising the level and affirming the position of Thanh Hoa tourism.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center to continue to coordinate, support and create the best conditions for the activities of the Provincial Tourism Association and member enterprises in participating in the promotion and development of the tourist market. Especially in training and improving the quality of tourism human resources in the new situation.

Within the framework of the conference, the provincial Tourism Association signed a memorandum of understanding with units and training schools to promote cooperation, promotion, advertising and training of tourism human resources. At the same time, certificates were awarded to 40 new member enterprises.
Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Standing Committee Member, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee received donations from the Provincial Association of Women and Children and member enterprises of the Provincial Association of Women and Children.
With the spirit of “mutual love and support”, on this occasion, representatives of the provincial HHDL and member enterprises supported the northern provinces affected and damaged by typhoon Yagi with 200 million VND. Thereby contributing to sharing difficulties and helping people overcome difficulties and challenges.
