Launching the book series "Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification"

The authors, speakers and book introductions included Professor, Doctor Dinh Xuan Dung, former Vice President of the Central Council for Literature and Art Theory and Criticism; Colonel, writer Chu Lai; poet Tran Dang Khoa, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association , Editor-in-Chief of Writers and Life Magazine.

Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, said that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense , and the General Department of Politics have directed the implementation of many meaningful activities to spread the image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" and the great value of Victory Day.

He expressed his appreciation for the People's Army Publishing House's proactive planning and inviting many authors both inside and outside the army to organize the editing and publication of the valuable Book Series with profound and diverse content, which comprehensively demonstrated the contributions of the efforts and intelligence of the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people, such as the military front, the political front, the diplomatic front, the enemy's military propaganda front, and the forces: main force troops, local troops, militia and self-defense forces, military branches, military medicine, artists, etc.

Under the direction of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the People's Army Publishing House organized the editing and publication of the book series "Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (1975-2025)" consisting of 15 titles, which are typical works selected from the massive treasure currently preserved to reprint and publish newly written, researched, and compiled manuscripts about the resistance war against the US to save the country through the passage of time with new materials and expressions.

The book series has many different genres such as: monographs, memoirs, historical reports, epic novels, epic poems, literary criticism theories and especially the photo book "Ho Chi Minh City - 50 years of glorious golden name (1975-2025)". Some works in the book series have also contributed to clarifying many issues and events that were not mentioned in previous publications or supplemented and revised some documents to ensure accuracy and consistency in each book and the whole series.

Also on this occasion, the People's Army Publishing House cooperated with Vietnam Book Culture Knowledge Joint Stock Company (Vietnambook) to publish a series of books on the same topic, aiming to expand the scope of distribution to serve soldiers and people across the country.

Publishing works commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification is both the task and responsibility of the People's Army Publishing House assigned by the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Department of Politics, and is also a great honor and pride for those working in military publishing.

Due to the limited number of books, there are still many typical works written about the resistance war against America to save the country that have been published but still retain their value and have not been reprinted on this occasion.

In the coming time, towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the People's Army Publishing House will continue to publish valuable books about the cause of national liberation and reunification as well as achievements in building, developing and defending the Fatherland in the current period.
