Authors exchange and share about books
Sharing about "Life's Imprints", Lieutenant General Luu Phuoc Luong said the book records important events from his childhood to adulthood, his participation in combat, his work in peacetime and his retirement life.
"Sometimes at 12 midnight, 1 am, I am sleeping but suddenly wake up and remember special details. I quickly sit up and write these things, just a few lines. The next morning, I will write it completely. The book 'Imprints of Life' was written by me with true emotions from my heart" - Lieutenant General Luu Phuoc Luong said.
The book "Discussion and Reflection - Perspective from Practice" conveys the inner concerns of Lieutenant General Luu Phuoc Luong. These are the concerns and worries of a cadre and a party member before the events taking place in the country and the people.
Colonel, writer Tran The Tuyen introduces the books "National Spirit" and "Cold Moon"
Colonel and writer Tran The Tuyen said the name of the book "National Spirit" was taken from the verse: "The body falls to become the land of the Fatherland/The soul flies up to become the spiritual energy of the nation".
This poem was composed by him when he returned to visit the Long Khot Historical Site (Long An Province). This is where his 174th Regiment, under the 5th Division, fought from 1972 to 1974. Here, there were nearly 2,000 martyrs, of which over 600 were from the 174th Regiment, who fell for national independence.
Through the book "National Spirit", author Tran The Tuyen hopes that the country will have one more "National Death Anniversary" day. That is the death anniversary of those who have contributed to the country (martyrs, righteous men) in all eras.
Colonel and journalist Phan Tung Son (who wrote the introduction to the book "National Spirit") said: "When I came across the manuscript of this book, I knew that author Tran The Tuyen wrote very quickly and almost did not have to edit much. The book was written with a continuous, flowing stream of emotions."
Commenting on the two verses "The body falls to become the land of the Fatherland/The soul flies up to become the spirit of the Nation", Colonel and journalist Phan Tung Son said that the most important and happiest thing for a writer is to have a verse/literature, a work that can anchor itself in the hearts of readers.
"Currently, when mentioning heroic martyrs, many people immediately think of the sentence "The body falls to become the land of the Fatherland/The soul flies up to become the spirit of the nation" by Tran The Tuyen. This pair of parallel sentences is also displayed at many martyr temples nationwide" - Colonel and journalist Phan Tung Son commented.
The book "Cold Moon" is a collection of 69 poems by author Tran The Tuyen. Among them is the poem "Cold Moon" which he composed on "an emotional night" in Nha Trang. "Reading 'Cold Moon', anyone can say it is love, missing home or missing comrades. Some people say reading 'Cold Moon' feels warm" - author Tran The Tuyen said.
