Live up to the noble honor of "Uncle Ho's soldiers "
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Phiet (87 years old) is a Hero of the People's Armed Forces, former Deputy Commander of Politics, Air Defense - Air Force. He joined the revolution in 1953 at the age of 14, worked as a liaison for local troops against French colonialism, and in 1960 enlisted in the Air Defense - Air Force, now the Air Defense - Air Force.
Expressing his emotion at being able to live in a peaceful atmosphere, attending the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th Anniversary of the National Defense Day, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Phiet affirmed that he always deeply understood that every step and growth of his more than 40 years in the army and nearly 50 years participating in the revolution, from the resistance war against the American imperialists to save the country to protect the Fatherland's borders, from being a soldier to holding leadership positions in the Army - like many other comrades, all originated from the leadership, education, and training of the Party, of beloved Uncle Ho, of the Army, and the help, protection, care, and nurturing of the people.
Veteran Nguyen Van Phiet affirmed that when returning to civilian life, he and his comrades always kept in mind that they needed to live up to the tradition of determination to fight and win of the heroic Vietnam People's Army; be steadfast and firm in political will; be pure in moral qualities and lifestyle; be exemplary in actions; speak and act according to the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; actively participate in protecting the achievements of the revolution, protecting the Party, the government, the socialist regime, and protecting the people.
Continuing the glorious tradition
Sharing the honor and pride of representing the Army youth and the youth of the whole country to speak at the Anniversary Ceremony, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tuan Dung (Assistant of the Technical Department of Factory Z131, General Department of Defense Industry) emphasized that this Anniversary Ceremony is an opportunity for the young generation to review together the heroic history and glorious feats of our ancestors.
