On April 16, VinFuture Foundation officially announced the launch of the InnovaConnect science and technology connection event series in 2024, aiming to enhance academic exchanges, professional exchanges and promote research cooperation between prestigious scientists around the world and leading institutes and schools in Vietnam in the field of science and technology.
InnovaConnect is the latest initiative of VinFuture Foundation to continue the success of the event series " VinFuture Future Discovery Dialogue " from VinFuture 2023 season.
The special feature of the InnovaConnect event series is that the collaborative discussions and in-depth scientific seminars will be held directly in Vietnam, with the participation of leading professors and experts from around the world and Vietnam. In addition to exchanging information on the most advanced technology; the program also includes roundtable discussions, consulting sessions, orientations... to find new ideas and solutions with high practicality.
It is expected that in 2024, VinFuture Foundation will coordinate with leading universities and research institutes in Vietnam to organize 3 InnovaConnect events.
The first InnovaConnect took place from April 15 to 17, 2024 with co-organizing partner Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The highlight of the event is the scientific discussion with the theme “Advanced Semiconductor Systems for a Sustainable World” taking place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on April 17 at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The discussion will feature leading experts in the world’s semiconductor field such as Prof. Lee Young Hee – Academician of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST) and Prof. Park Inkyu – Head Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
Among them, Prof. Lee Young Hee is currently the Director of the Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP) of the Institute of Basic Science (IBS) at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), with more than 80,000 scientific citations and an h-index of 135.
Prof. Park Inkyu won the 2023 Korea Nanotechnology Top 10 Award, the 2023 Nano Innovation Award awarded by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Technology of Korea (MSIT).
The representative of the Vietnamese scientific community will present at the conference is Prof. Nguyen Duc Hoa , Vice Principal of the School of Materials at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. Prof. Hoa has published over 150 prestigious international articles and has been cited more than 7,500 times, with an h-index of 54.
The professors will share the latest technology trends, discuss cooperation plans to support the development of programs to improve the professional capacity of staff, and cooperate in building a training program framework for high-quality human resources for Vietnam's semiconductor industry.
“One of the important missions of the VinFuture Foundation is to give the world a more comprehensive view of Vietnam as a country that is striving to promote and prioritize investment in technology development, thereby gradually affirming the country's position on the world science and technology map. Through the InnovaConnect event series, VinFuture continues to promote the dissemination of typical models, technologies, solutions, as well as cooperative relationships between leading universities and research institutes in Vietnam and the world to jointly create useful technologies that have a positive impact on human life.”
- Dr. Le Thai Ha, Executive Director of VinFuture Foundation, shares the idea of launching the InnovaConnect event series
Prior to InovaConnect, VinFuture Foundation organized 14 InnovaTalk scientific seminars (online) with the participation of thousands of experts, scientists and excellent researchers from all over the world.
In addition to the great value that the VinFuture Prize brings, the activities to support and promote the development of Science and Technology of the VinFuture Foundation over the past 3 years have been bringing new stature and international prestige to Vietnamese science and technology, while contributing to opening up cooperation opportunities to develop potential science and technology projects in the future.
