This morning, November 28, in Ai Tu town, Trieu Phong district, from the sponsorship of Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup), Quang Tri Newspaper organized the awarding of 130 scholarships to students of Chu Van An High School with difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties to study well.

Chu Van An High School has a high percentage of students from poor households and families with extremely difficult circumstances. To share the difficulties, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the school's founding, Thien Tam Fund and Quang Tri Newspaper have coordinated to award 130 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to poor students who have overcome difficulties. This will be a valuable gift to help them have more motivation and funds to cover their studies.

At the program, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Quang Tri Newspaper Nguyen Ty said that as a Party newspaper, in addition to doing a good job in professional work, for many years, Quang Tri Newspaper has paid great attention to and regularly carried out social security activities. In particular, priority is given to supporting students with especially difficult circumstances but with the determination to study well in order to help them go to school and achieve their dreams on the path of education.

Sharing her joy at receiving the scholarship, Phan Thi Thuy An, a student of class 11A, Chu Van An High School, confided: “My family is in a difficult situation. My mother is often sick and unemployed, my father is the main breadwinner in the family but his health is currently very poor and he does not have a stable job. Therefore, my studies are also affected. Receiving the scholarship today from the benefactors, I am very happy because I have more money to cover my studies.”

Chu Van An High School Principal Nguyen Tho said that in the 2024-2025 school year, the school has 26 classes with 955 students. Of these, about 30% of the students have difficult family circumstances, and many of them still owe fees and tuition because their families do not have the resources to pay the school. The 130 scholarships that the students received today from Thien Tam Fund and Quang Tri Newspaper are practical gifts to help them study well.
