Saudi Arabia Development Fund – A Bridge for Relations with Vietnam

On November 6, in Hanoi, the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Vietnam organized the event “Turning Challenges into Opportunities: Contributions of the Saudi Arabian Development Fund in Vietnam and around the world”.
With 12 projects and a total investment capital of more than 164 million USD, the Saudi Arabia Development Fund is becoming a "bridge" for the bilateral relationship, leading the two countries to new cooperation possibilities in the future. Photo caption

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong emphasized that the event was an opportunity for Saudi Arabia and Vietnam to discuss the good cooperation process between the two countries; propose practical solutions to improve the effectiveness of cooperation, attract new projects of mutual interest to both countries, towards prosperous and sustainable development.

Visiting Vietnam for the first time and attending the event, the CEO of the Saudi Arabia Development Fund, Sultan Al-Marshad, announced the inauguration of the Ha Nam Vocational College Expansion Investment Project this afternoon, with the Fund's contribution of more than 9 million USD. He hopes that in the coming time, Vietnamese ministries and branches will resolve legal procedural problems, clear the flow of funding and implement projects funded by the Saudi Arabia Development Fund effectively and sustainably.
