The National Assembly then discussed and voted to approve the list of candidates for the Vice President of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term.

From 2:10 p.m.: The National Assembly conducted a secret ballot to elect Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh as Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term; approved the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint Mr. Le Thanh Long as Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term and Mr. Luong Tam Quang as Minister of Public Security for the 2021-2026 term.

At the meeting, the National Assembly listened to: The Vote Counting Committee reported the results of the vote counting for the election of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term for Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh; approved the Prime Minister's proposal on the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Le Thanh Long and Minister of Public Security for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Luong Tam Quang.

Secretary General of the National Assembly Bui Van Cuong presented two draft resolutions of the National Assembly, including: Resolution on the election of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term; Resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal on the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security for the 2021-2026 term.
Then, the National Assembly discussed and voted to pass the following Resolutions:
Resolution on electing Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh as Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly for the 2021-2026 term by electronic voting, the results are as follows: 467 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 95.89% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), of which 465 delegates approved (equal to 95.48% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), 1 delegate did not approve (equal to 0.21% of the total number of National Assembly delegates); 1 delegate did not vote (equal to 0.21% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).
Including the Resolution approving the Prime Minister's proposal on the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Security for the 2021-2026 term by electronic voting.
Result: 469 delegates participated in the vote (equal to 96.30% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), of which 468 delegates approved (equal to 96.10% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), and 1 delegate did not approve (equal to 0.21% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).
From 3:25 p.m., the National Assembly will consider and approve the membership of the National Defense and Security Council. At the meeting, the National Assembly will listen to President To Lam present a report on the proposal to approve the membership of the National Defense and Security Council. After that, the National Assembly will vote by secret ballot to approve the membership of the National Defense and Security Council for Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang.
