Que Son solemnly held the 50th Anniversary of Homeland Liberation Day

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Nguyen Vu - Secretary of Que Son District Party Committee reviewed the indomitable and heroic fighting tradition of our army and people in the two resistance wars against French colonialists and American imperialists.

On this day, 50 years ago, with the spirit of attack and uprising of the army and people of the whole country, under the leadership of the Party, directly of the Zone 5 Party Committee and Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, the main army units of Military Zone 5, of the province, together with the armed forces and local people fought bravely, simultaneously attacking the enemy's strongholds and headquarters, achieving resounding feats of arms, liberating Que Son district.

The speech emphasized that the liberation of Que Son was a historical event of great significance throughout the arduous and sacrificial revolutionary struggle of the army and people of Que Son under the glorious flag of the Party; it was also a milestone of victory for the spirit and indomitable will of the armed forces and local people, "Not an inch gone, not a millimeter left", and the oath that resounded throughout the mountains and rivers, "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom".

The names of places and villages such as Ca Tang, Nong Son, Trung Phuoc, Hon Tau, Ba Ren, Go De, Moc Bai, Duong La, Liet Kiem, Cam Doi, Hon Chieng... are associated with heroic feats of arms and will forever adorn the glorious history of the army and people of Que Son during the years of fighting to liberate the homeland.

Mr. Dinh Nguyen Vu affirmed that today's and future generations will forever be proud of the glorious feats, sacrifices, contributions, and steadfast, indomitable example of their fathers and brothers. The land of Que Son will always remember and be extremely grateful to the generations of fathers and brothers who fell, sacrificing a part of their blood and bones to create this resounding triumphal song.

Those generations may be gone, but that spirit will certainly last forever. That spirit will forever be the light that guides everyone on the road ahead, the source of motivation that urges generations of cadres, soldiers of the armed forces and people in the district to continue training and striving for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

After the liberation day, the Que Son District Party Committee focused on leading the people to quickly stabilize their lives and start rebuilding their homeland from the ruins of war. After 50 years of construction and development, the locality has made strong impressions in all fields.

Mr. Dinh Nguyen Vu said that in recent years, Que Son's economy has grown rapidly and sustainably. Production value increased by an average of 8.23% annually, the economic structure shifted in the right direction, average income per capita reached 55 million VND/person/year, and currently the poverty rate has decreased to 3.69%.

With the motto of both promoting local resources and taking advantage of support from superiors and other resources, up to now, infrastructure, traffic systems, schools, irrigation and other social welfare works in Que Son have been invested in and built synchronously. The new rural construction program has been vigorously implemented with the enthusiastic participation of the people and up to now, the whole district has 12/15 communes meeting new rural standards...

Along with economic development, Que Son's cultural and social fields have also changed dramatically. Policies for families of martyrs, war invalids, and families with revolutionary contributions have been focused on and resolved promptly and in accordance with regulations. People's health care has received increasing attention, and national health programs have been actively implemented.

The cultural and sports sector has flourished and developed more and more deeply, from the district to the villages. The quality of cultural life has been improved. The information and communication system has been increasingly improved, contributing to serving the spiritual life of the people in the whole district...

Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet congratulated Que Son on its achievements in 50 years of construction and development. The achievements today are the crystallization of patriotism, indomitable will, solidarity, perseverance and constant creativity of the Party Committee and all the people of Que Son. However, the road ahead still has many difficulties and challenges, requiring the locality to look to the future with new efforts, determination and aspirations.

The Party Committee and people of Que Son, with their steadfast revolutionary tradition, solidarity and creativity, will definitely be pioneers and leaders in carrying out this noble task and goal. To realize that aspiration, the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations at all levels of the district have been determined, must be even more determined, have made efforts, must make even more efforts, have been determined, must be even more determined..." - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said.
