Quang Nam verifies assets and income of people with declaration obligations at 12 agencies, units and localities.

According to the approved plan, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Inspectorate to verify individuals obligated to declare assets and income who are required to declare assets and income annually at 12 agencies, units, and localities (equivalent to 20% of the agencies, units, and localities under the jurisdiction of the Provincial Inspectorate).

Specifically, these include: the Department of Justice, Quang Nam Medical College, Quang Nam Urban Environment Joint Stock Company; Quang Nam Agricultural Seed Joint Stock Company; Tam Ky Urban Public Service Joint Stock Company and the People's Committees of the districts and towns of: Dien Ban, Tay Giang, Hiep Duc, Nui Thanh, Bac Tra My, Nam Tra My, and Dong Giang.

The random selection of individuals for asset and income verification in 2025 must comply with the provisions of Clause 3, Article 12 of Government Decree No. 130/2020 dated December 30, 2020, on controlling assets and income of persons holding positions and authority in agencies, organizations, and units.

Accordingly, within 10 days (from the date the Provincial Inspectorate issues the verification plan), the Provincial Inspectorate will randomly select individuals to be verified. The selection will be conducted publicly by drawing lots or using computer software, and representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will be invited to attend and witness the random selection of individuals to be verified. The number of individuals randomly selected for verification must ensure a minimum of 10% of the number of individuals obligated to declare their assets annually at each agency, organization, or unit being verified.

According to the Provincial Inspectorate, in 2024, 235 cases of officials, civil servants, and public employees in the province were transferred to different positions to prevent corruption. During the period, 3,456 people declared their assets and income; of which, 3,430 were in 2023 and 26 were in 2024 (4 were first-time declarations, and 22 were declarations for personnel purposes). Verification was conducted on 86 cases of individuals obligated to declare their assets and income annually, and verification conclusions have been issued.

In 2024, one corruption case was detected through monitoring, inspection, and internal self-inspection activities of agencies, organizations, and units under management; and one case resulted in disciplinary action against the head of an organization for allowing corruption to occur.
