According to the approved plan, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Inspectorate to verify people who are required to declare assets and income, who are subjects required to declare assets and income annually, at 12 agencies, units and localities (equivalent to 20% of agencies, units and localities under the authority of the Provincial Inspectorate).
Specifically, including: Department of Justice, Quang Nam Medical College, Quang Nam Urban Environment Joint Stock Company; Quang Nam Agricultural Seed Joint Stock Company; Tam Ky Urban Public Service Joint Stock Company and People's Committees of districts and towns: Dien Ban, Tay Giang, Hiep Duc, Nui Thanh, Bac Tra My, Nam Tra My, Dong Giang.
The organization of random selection of people whose assets and incomes are verified in 2025 must comply with the provisions of Clause 3, Article 12 of Decree No. 130/2020 dated December 30, 2020 of the Government on controlling assets and income of people holding positions and powers in agencies, organizations and units.
Accordingly, within 10 days (from the date the Provincial Inspectorate issues the verification plan), the Provincial Inspectorate randomly selects the person to be verified. The selection is made publicly by drawing lots or using computer software and inviting representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to attend and witness the random selection of the person to be verified. The number of people selected for random verification must ensure that at least 10% of the number of people required to make annual declarations at each agency, organization, or unit to be verified.
The provincial inspectorate said that in 2024, there were 235 cases of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the province who were transferred to work positions to prevent corruption. During the period, 3,456 people declared their assets and income; of which, in 2023, there were 3,430 people, in 2024, there were 26 people (4 people declared for the first time, 22 people declared for the purpose of serving cadre work); 86 cases were verified who were required to declare their assets and income annually and verification conclusions were issued.
In 2024, the number of corruption cases detected through internal monitoring, inspection and self-inspection activities of agencies, organizations and units under management is 1 case; 1 case of handling the responsibility of the head for allowing corruption to occur.
