Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Plan to implement the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers by 2030" in the province.
The objective of the plan is to help raise awareness among cadres, members and women about the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on the development of collective economy and cooperatives. Develop, consolidate and improve the efficiency of cooperatives managed and operated by women, create job opportunities for female workers; support and improve the material and spiritual life of members and workers in cooperatives. Thereby, promoting the internal strength, spirit of cooperation, creative entrepreneurship of members and women, contributing to the implementation of the goals of socio-economic development, international integration and gender equality.
Accordingly, Quang Nam province strives to consolidate and improve the quality and efficiency of operations for at least 23 cooperatives, 10 cooperative groups, and association groups managed and operated by women, supported by associations at all levels, by 2025. Support 250 members and female workers in cooperatives, and 100 female workers in cooperatives and association groups to have stable jobs.
100% of female managers of cooperatives are trained, fostered, and have improved management and operational capacity in accordance with the production and business activities of the cooperative; training is provided for members, workers in cooperatives, members, and women who want to participate in the development of collective economy and cooperatives.
In addition, consulting and supporting the establishment of 5 new cooperatives managed and operated by women, creating job opportunities for female workers (over 50% of cooperative workers are women); creating new jobs for 70 female workers. 100% of association officials working to support the development of collective economy and cooperatives are trained, improving their skills in propaganda, mobilization, and support for members and women to participate in the development of collective economy and cooperatives...
By 2030, the province strives to consolidate and improve the quality and efficiency of operations for at least 45 cooperatives, 20 cooperative groups, and linked groups managed and operated by women, supported by the Women's Union at all levels. Create stable jobs for 300 members and female workers in cooperatives, and 200 female workers in cooperative groups.
